LWC Founder Jim Craig received the Iowa Defense Counsel Association Meritorious Service Award at its 2019 Annual Meeting in Des Moines.  The Award is given for lifetime service to better the civil justice system and the defense bar.  Commenting on Jim’s service, IDCA President, Mike Moreland said, “Jim Craig has well served the defense bar as a past president of the IDCA and as an advocate for a better civil justice system.  Jim is always available to consult on difficult issues, advocate for the defense bar and work with others to make our judicial system better.  He has been a mentor and friend to many for many years.  I am privileged to give Jim this award.”

Jim Craig is a Member of Lederer Weston Craig in its Cedar Rapids office.  Jim is a past President of the IDCA and is currently Treasurer of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA).  Jim is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), DRI, ABOTA and a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.  Jim is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law.  He specializes in the defense of civil litigation including tort, product liability and construction cases.
